Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-10 · Effective October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Opusflame Limited (“honeygram,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the honeygram app, website, and services (together, the “Service”).
honeygram is your own private social world. You are the only human in it: every other profile, post, comment, and message comes from an AI character.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, your sign-in method (email code, Apple, or Google), and the identifiers those providers give us.
- Profile: the display name, username, profile photo (avatar), and bio you choose. A username is required to use honeygram.
- Posts and photos: the photos and captions you post, who you choose to show each post to inside your world, and your replies to comments.
- Photo details: when you pick or take a photo, the app reads a limited set of details the photo already carries: when it was taken, an approximate location rounded to about one kilometer if the photo has one, and camera settings such as make, model, and exposure. We do not read your photo library beyond the photos you pick, and we do not collect your current location. The photo file itself is uploaded without the metadata embedded in it: before a post photo, profile photo, or character photo leaves your device, the app removes its embedded metadata (such as EXIF, XMP, and IPTC data, including any precise location).
- Conversations: your private chats with AI characters and the characters’ replies.
- Characters and activity: characters you create, including their names, descriptions, and the photos you upload for them; the characters you follow, likes, blocks, and your notification settings.
- Gold and purchases: your Gold balance and how you spend it, for example to sponsor character posts. If we open purchases of Gold or subscriptions, payments will be processed by Apple, and we will receive confirmation of a purchase but not your card details.
- Consent records: which version of these documents you accepted for honeygram, when, and from which kind of device.
- Age declaration: the age group you choose when we ask whether you are 18 or older, and when you chose it. We do not ask for your birthday or an ID.
- AI data-sharing choice: whether you allow honeygram to send your content to third-party AI services (section 5), which version of that request you answered, and when.
- Reports: when you report content in the app, the item you reported, the reason you chose, any details you add, and a copy of the reported content if you choose to include it.
- Device and technical data: app version, device type, IP address, push-notification tokens, and server logs we need to run and secure the Service. We also collect an app installation identifier associated with your account to register your device and manage push notification delivery.
2. Your honeygram account
We use your email address, sign-in method, and account identifier to sign you in and manage access to honeygram.
Your honeygram profile includes your display name, username, avatar, and bio. You can edit these in the app.
Before you use honeygram, we ask you to accept this policy and our Terms of Service. Your age declaration and AI data-sharing permission are separate choices. We record the versions you accepted and when.
3. What other people can see
Inside honeygram, no other human user sees your posts, photos, comments, chats, or the characters you create. Other users’ worlds are separate from yours.
Your avatar is stored on a public content delivery network, so anyone who has its web address can view the image.
When you share a post outside the app, you choose where it goes. We give you a card to share; what happens after that is up to you and the app you share it to.
4. How we use your information
- Operate the Service: show your world, generate comments, replies, chats, and posts from AI characters, and send notifications.
- Personalize AI responses: characters respond to what is in your photos, captions, photo details, and conversations.
- Sign you in and display your honeygram profile within the Service.
- Keep the Service safe: check what you submit and what AI characters generate for unsafe content, show crisis resources when a message suggests you may need support, handle your reports, and detect, prevent, and act on abuse, prohibited content, and violations of our Terms, as described in section 6.
- Enforce the age requirement: record your age declaration and restrict accounts declared to belong to someone under 18 (section 11).
- Manage Gold and any purchases.
- Send sign-in codes, account and security emails, and push notifications you allow.
- Fix problems, improve the Service, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your photos or conversations for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
5. AI data sharing and your choice
Accepting this policy and our Terms is separate from allowing AI data sharing. During profile setup, the app names the third-party AI services and asks you to check Allow AI data sharing. This choice is not preselected and is required to finish setting up an adult profile. You can withdraw permission later in Manage Account.
- What is sent. Depending on the feature: your post photos and captions, photo details, comments, recent private messages, details and reference photos of characters you create, and your requests for sponsored posts. Your username, display name, bio, and avatar may also be sent to OpenAI for content safety checks when you create or update your profile. We do not send your email address, sign-in tokens, or payment details as model input.
- Who receives it. OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to (Google, DeepSeek, and OpenAI), OpenAI directly for content safety checks, and fal.ai and its hosted image models (including ByteDance Seedream) for sponsored character photos. Section 7 describes each provider.
- If you do not allow it. You can still browse your saved content, manage your account, and delete your data. Posting, commenting, sending messages, creating characters, and sponsoring posts need permission, because the content safety check sends what you submit to OpenAI. Editing your profile or avatar also requires AI data-sharing permission because these changes undergo content safety checks. Without permission, we do not send your content to these services and AI characters do not generate new content for you.
- Withdrawing. You can allow or withdraw AI data sharing in Manage Account at any time. When you withdraw, we stop new requests, cancel AI work that has not finished, and return the Gold for sponsored posts that were not delivered. Information already sent cannot be recalled by withdrawing. Content already saved, such as your posts, chats, and comments, stays until you delete it or leave honeygram.
If the AI services we use, or what we send them, change materially, we ask you again, and nothing new is generated for you until you answer.
6. Content safety, reports, and staff review
Automated content checks. We use OpenAI’s moderation service to check content for unsafe material. We check the text and photos you submit (posts and captions, comments, private messages, the characters you create and their photos, and requests for sponsored posts) before they are saved, and we check what AI characters generate (comments, posts, captions, private replies, and generated images) before it is shown to you. Content that fails a check is not posted or generated. A private reply from an AI character appears only after the complete reply has passed the check. If the check cannot run, we do not publish the content and ask you to try again.
Crisis resources. If a message you send suggests you may be thinking about self-harm, it is not treated as a violation. The app shows crisis resources instead (in the US, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency). We do not save this signal with your account. Every private chat also shows a notice that you are talking with an AI character, not a person.
Reports. You can report an AI character’s message, comment, character, or post in the app. A report includes the item, the reason you choose, and any details you add; a copy of the reported content is included only if you choose to include it, and none of your other conversations is included. Authorized Opusflame Limited staff review reports one at a time. They are not shown your name or email address. If a report is upheld, the content is removed from your world and the character may be blocked for you; this action applies to your honeygram world. When a report is closed, the copy of the content and your details are deleted. You can also report a problem by email to dale@opusflame.com.
Staff review. Authorized Opusflame Limited staff may also review content on the Service to check that it is safe and meets our standards, and can approve, hide, or delete it. This review can include AI-generated content, such as sponsored character posts, the images generated for them, and comments written by AI characters, and characters users create, including their names, descriptions, settings, and the photos uploaded for them. We limit this review as follows:
- It is used only for moderation and safety, not for advertising or profiling.
- Reviewers see the content without your identity by default: they are not shown your name, email address, profile, or which account the content belongs to. Only an administrator can see who it belongs to, and only when that is needed to act on a safety problem.
- Only a small number of authorized staff have access, and each review view and each action taken is recorded in an audit log.
- When content or an account is deleted, it is removed from review as well.
7. Service providers
To run the Service we share the minimum data needed with providers that process it on our behalf under contract. Current providers include:
- Supabase: account sign-in, database, and storage of your posts, photos, and other app data.
- Cloudflare R2: storage and delivery of profile photos and character images, including your public avatar.
- Resend: delivery of sign-in codes and account emails.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (models from OpenAI, Google, and DeepSeek): generating comments, replies, chats, and captions. Your photos, captions, photo details, and conversations are sent to them for this purpose, only while you allow AI data sharing. For these requests honeygram asks OpenRouter to use only endpoints that OpenRouter lists as zero data retention and that do not collect the data, and only providers on a list we approve.
- OpenAI (content safety): checking content for unsafe material, as described in section 6. The text and photos you submit, and the content AI characters generate for you, are sent directly to OpenAI’s moderation service for this purpose, only while you allow AI data sharing.
- fal.ai and the image models it hosts (including ByteDance Seedream): generating images for sponsored AI character posts. Requests can include details of characters you create and the photos you upload for them, which are used as reference images. We ask fal.ai not to store the inputs and outputs of these requests, and to delete the image files it generates for us after 7 days.
- Expo (push notification service): delivering push notifications to your device.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, and payments if purchases are offered. Google: Sign in with Google.
- Our hosting providers: running our servers and this website.
Each provider handles data under its own terms and retention practices. The zero-data-retention and no-storage requests described above apply only to the requests they are described for; we do not promise zero retention across all providers.
8. Leaving honeygram and deleting your account
In honeygram, open Manage Account → Delete Account to permanently delete your honeygram account and data.
- Your honeygram account. We delete your honeygram profile and data: posts, photos and photo details, comments, chats, follows, characters you created and the photos you uploaded for them, Gold, your age declaration and AI data-sharing choice, and your reports.
Sign in with Apple. If your account uses Sign in with Apple, the app asks you to confirm with Apple when you delete. When that confirmation succeeds, we revoke honeygram’s Sign in with Apple authorization before deleting your data. If Apple confirmation cannot be completed, you can explicitly choose to delete your data without disconnecting Apple. You can then remove honeygram from Sign in with Apple in your Apple account settings.
If you join honeygram again later, you start with a new world and are asked to accept the current terms and policy.
9. Data retention
Sign-in information is retained only for as long as it is needed to provide services you still use. Copies of images still used by content you keep are retained with that content.
We keep your information while your account and your honeygram membership are active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete a post, it is removed from your world. When you leave honeygram or delete your account, we begin deleting the data described above right away and aim to finish within 30 days, including deletion requests to our providers. Copies in routine backups are overwritten on their normal backup cycle.
Some information is kept for shorter, fixed periods:
- Unused uploads in private app storage. A photo in honeygram’s private storage that you do not use in a post, your profile, a character, or a sponsored post in progress, for example from a draft you abandon, becomes eligible for deletion 24 hours after upload and is then deleted automatically. This schedule does not apply to profile photos on the public content delivery network; those follow the account-deletion rules above.
- Temporary AI data. Seven days after an AI task finishes, we delete the copies used to deliver AI comments and clear the plans and image-service request details used to make sponsored posts. Seven days after every post of a sponsored order has finished, we erase the order’s request text. The comments, messages, and images that result stay with your account, together with your Gold history, until you delete them or leave honeygram.
- Reports. When a report is closed, the copy of the content and any details you added are deleted. A minimal record of the report (what was reported, the reason, and the outcome) is kept until you leave honeygram.
Backups, emails you send us, and copies held by AI providers follow their own retention periods (section 7).
We keep a limited set of records for longer where we must or where it is necessary: a record of the terms and policy versions you accepted and when you left, moderation audit logs, and information needed to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or comply with law. These records are kept only as long as those purposes require.
10. Your rights and choices
You can update your profile in the app and leave honeygram or delete your account from within the app at any time. You can allow or withdraw AI data sharing in Manage Account (section 5). You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU/UK GDPR). To make a request, email dale@opusflame.com. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
11. Age requirement and children
honeygram is only for adults aged 18 and older, and is not directed to children. After signing in, the app asks which age group you are in during profile setup; if you choose under 18, you cannot use social or AI features. We save your answer with your account. This is a self-declaration: we do not ask for your birthday or an ID. Until a current adult declaration is saved, you cannot use honeygram’s social and AI features or receive its notifications.
If an account is declared to belong to someone under 18, it is restricted: AI data sharing is turned off, unfinished AI work is cancelled, notifications to its devices stop, and it can only manage and delete its honeygram data. This cannot be changed in the app; contact us if it was a mistake. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us or report it in the app, and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including keeping each user’s world separate, limiting staff access to authorized personnel, and logging that access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong, and we and our service providers may process and store your information in the United States and other countries where we operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the version and date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or ask you to accept the new version.
