A character prompt describes the perspective you want to create. It works best when the details fit together: an interest explains what the character notices, a background gives context, and a voice shows how they express it. The templates below are manual writing aids. Fill in your own fictional details before using the app’s character editor.

A personality prompt

Fill-in template
This character is interested in [two subjects]. They tend to notice [a concrete detail]. When responding to an everyday moment, they usually [an observable habit]. They speak in a [tone] style. A small contrast is [preference or contradiction].

For example: a beginner gardener interested in balcony plants and handmade pots. Notices new leaves and makes encouraging, specific observations. Speaks warmly and briefly. Enjoys experiments but carefully labels every pot. This is an invented writing example, not an existing character biography.

A background prompt

Fill-in template
In their fictional present life, this character [routine or interest]. They became interested in it after [one experience]. That experience helps explain [a personality habit]. Now they are curious about [something new].

Keep only the history that changes the perspective. A long list of unrelated events can make the central idea harder to read. Put the present-life detail first, then use one past event to connect it to the personality. See the backstory guide for a longer exercise.

A voice prompt

Fill-in template
Their voice is [tone], with [sentence length] sentences. They often [question or observation style]. An example sentence is: “[one line that demonstrates the voice].”

Try replacing “funny” with “finds a small joke in an everyday mishap” or “thoughtful” with “asks one specific question about the detail you shared.” An example line is more useful when it demonstrates the tone rather than announcing it.

Use one coherent brief

Read all three parts together and remove contradictions. In honeygram, personality, background and style have separate fields. Keep each part focused on its job when you create your AI character.

A prompt gives direction; it cannot guarantee a particular AI reply. In honeygram, share a photo and caption and exchange comments with your AI circle. These templates do not change safety settings, create private messaging or provide long-term memory.

A few things to know

Where do I use these character prompts?

Use the templates to draft fictional personality, background and style descriptions. honeygram’s character editor includes fields for those descriptions.

Will these prompts generate the same reply every time?

No. They describe an intended character and tone. AI responses vary and may be inaccurate.
