Give a trait something to do

“Observant” means more when you describe what the character notices. Around a handmade object, it might mean texture and small imperfections. Around a meal, it might mean an ingredient or an improvised step. This personality generator connects a trait to an interest, so the brief has something concrete to work with.

The voice choice changes how that perspective is expressed. Warm and direct, dry and understated, or quiet and reflective can all begin from the same interest without sounding identical.

A personality is more than a list

Read the generated paragraph and ask whether you can imagine an example sentence. If not, add a habit: asking one specific question, noticing a small improvement or finding humor in an everyday mishap. Keep the habits compatible with the voice.

Then add a small contrast. A curious character can enjoy experiments while keeping careful notes. A playful character can be serious about their favorite craft. Those details give you more to write than a string of positive adjectives.

From a personality draft to an AI character
